Read on to find out everything you know about each one and learn which one of these flashlights is the suitable for your AR15.

1. Streamlight 69260 TLR-1 HL Weapon Mount Tactical Flashlight Light 800 Lumens with Strobe

Streamlight 69260 TLR-1 HL Weapon Mount Tactical Flashlight Light 800 Lumens with Strobe

Streamlight 69260 TLR-1 HL Weapon Mount Tactical Flashlight Light 800 Lumens with Strobe

The first flashlight we will look at is the Streamlight 69260 TLR-1 HL. This flashlight is solidly built, but still lightweight. It weighs 4.2 ounces and measures 3.4 inches x 1.4 inches x 1.8 inches.

The barrel of the flashlight is made of aircraft aluminum to make it strong but light, and the glass lens over the bulb is top quality TIR optic. This helps produce a concentrated beam with quality peripheral illumination.

The optic goes over a C4 LED bulb that is 800 lumens and produces a candela peak of 12,000. This means the bulb will last for thousands of hours and provides clean bright light.

The Streamlight 69260 is rail-mount and snaps on easily. You can attach it with a single hand and tighten it on so it won’t wiggle or go anywhere.

The flashlight can be connected to any rail, but generally goes on the bottom one to help with balance and not interfere with any scopes.

One nice thing about the Streamlight is since it is small it can go on a variety of guns. You can use this on any of your handguns when you aren’t using it with your AR15.

Users like this flashlight which has an easy to reach on/off switch. It runs off of two CR123 batteries which it does come with and can be easily bought.

The user also really like that this flashlight is waterproof, so rain won’t hurt it. Users also really like that it has a strobe feature. The only complaints are some find it too bright.

At night it can cause your eyes some shock when you first turn it on. This isn’t a real problem though and tells you how good of light the Streamlight 69260 TLR-1 HL is.

2. Orion H40-W 500 Lumen LED Tactical Flashlight with Pressure Switch and Rifle Mount

Orion H40-W 500 Lumen LED Tactical Flashlight with Pressure Switch and Rifle Mount

Orion H40-W 500 Lumen LED Tactical Flashlight with Pressure Switch and Rifle Mount

Next up we have the Orion H40-W. This flashlight is a big boy weighing in at 9.6 ounces and measuring 7.7 inches x 3.4 inches x 2.3 inches. With the extra size though comes a strong anodized aluminum body and a glass lens that is white and treated to give it strength. This flashlight is also waterproof. The LED bulb in this flashlight is 500 lumens and provides a beam with a center lux of 6400. The beam will travel 175yds. This means that the light is bright for most any use and has an intense beam.

This flashlight runs off of two CR123 batteries and will run for about 75 minutes. It has an on/off switch, as well as a switch that can turn the light on for just a few moments when you need it on but won’t keep the light on. You can also get rechargeable batteries for this light, so you don’t have to keep buying new ones. This is a rail mount light and comes with a Picatinny/Weaver Rail mount so that you can install it on any rifle.

Users like this light and most find it serves the purpose that they had planned for it. The downside to this light is that there has been a lot of quality control issues. People have been getting lights that weren’t assembled right and had the O-Ring or other parts out of place. Also, the switches have been breaking quickly. The good thing is there is a one year warranty, so you can get a replacement if you have issues. Thanks to the guarantee you should still consider the Orion H40-W when you are looking for light due to the other benefits it offers.

3. Monstrum Tactical 90 Lumens LED Flashlight with Rail Mount and Detachable Remote Pressure Switch

Monstrum Tactical 90 Lumens LED Flashlight with Rail Mount and Detachable Remote Pressure Switch

Monstrum Tactical 90 Lumens LED Flashlight with Rail Mount and Detachable Remote Pressure Switch

Moving on we will now look at the Monstrum Tactical 90. This light is small weighing 4 ounces and measuring only 3.7 inches long. This light runs off of 2 CR123 batteries like the others, and the batteries are included. The body of this flashlight is made of aircraft aluminum to help keep it light but durable. Since this light is so small, it can mount to any gun from assault rifles to your home defense handgun. The light has a normal on/off switch as well as a pressure switch that can be attached or removed.

The LED light in this light isn’t as bright as some. It is only 90 lumens, but it puts those to good use behind the white glass. The top quality glass element helps create an intense beam that still provides enough light to see people or animals. This light is suitable for hunting because while it has a standard white LED you can also get it with a green LED. The reason you might want a green bulb instead is that some animals won’t be able to see it keeping you hidden while hunting from things such as hogs.

The Monstrous uses a Picatinny or Weaver mount and is easily attached to either type of rail. Users like how long the battery last with this light. Most can get nine hours plus from the batteries. This is because the LED is so low. Users also admit that this does an excellent job of lighting up in front of you, but this is not a spotlight. The users that have been disappointed were because they were looking for a spotlight. If you get the Monstrum Tactical 90 expecting just a simple light to light up the area where you are shooting, then you will be happy with it.

4. Streamlight 88059 Pro Tac Rail Mount 2 625 Lumen Professional Tactical Flashlight with High/Low/Strobe w/2x CR123A Batteries

Streamlight 88059 Pro Tac Rail Mount 2 625 Lumen Professional Tactical Flashlight with High/Low/Strobe w/2x CR123A Batteries

Streamlight 88059 Pro Tac Rail Mount 2 625 Lumen Professional Tactical Flashlight with High/Low/Strobe w/2x CR123A Batteries

Now we are onto another light from Streamlight. This time it is the Streamlight 88059. This light is a little bigger than the first we looked at measuring 5 inches x 1.2 inches x 1.5 inches and weighing 5 ounces. It runs off of 2 CR123 batteries, and they are included. The light itself is built from the same aircraft aluminum and is top quality. The light is shock resistant and water resistant. The lens is also impact resistant and is a high-quality BOROFLOAT glass lens allowing for maximum light to come from and a nice solid beam.

The LED is 625 lumens, but this flashlight has three run modes. It has a high mode that uses the full power and can run for 2 hours on that mode. The beam can go over 300 yards on the high power mode. It also has a low mode that only uses 60 lumens allowing the light to run for 21 hours and still puts off a beam of 95 yards. The last mode is a strobe mode using the high beam to help single people. The light also has an on/off switch and a pressure switch so you can keep it on or have it come on only when you want too.

Users love this flashlight and love how it can be attached easily to anything with a MIL standard 1913 rail. It can also connect to Picatinny rails. Users also like how bright the light is and that you can operate it on different modes. The only problem is the Streamlight 88059 is so good people are making fakes now, so be sure to buy from a reputable seller.

5. SureFire X300 Ultra Series LED WeaponLights with TIR Lens

SureFire X300 Ultra Series LED WeaponLights with TIR Lens

SureFire X300 Ultra Series LED WeaponLights with TIR Lens

Last we have the SureFire X300. Just because it is last doesn’t mean it is a good light though. This light is solid and top construction out of aerospace aluminum, and the lens in front of the bulb is high-quality glass. Due to the top construction, this light is a bit heavier at 7.2 ounces, and it measures 7.8 inches x 4.8 inches x 4.5 inches. The LED in this flashlight is bright at 500 lumens and runs off two CR123 batteries which do come with it.

The cool thing about this light is the LED is off-white and produces a light that is yellowish-green. This is optimal for human eyes and allows you to see easier. The SureFire is easy to mount and can attach to any Picatinny rail or any universal rail. The good thing is that this can connect to any type of gun with a rail and not just your AR15. It also has a momentary or constant switch, so you can control when the light is on.

Users like the SureFire X300 and how ergonomic it is. It is easy to use and can be used anywhere. It works in a wide temperature range as well as conditions with being water resistant. Users also like the quick mounting system. The only problem is like some of the others fakes are being made and sold that aren’t SureFire, so again be cautious with who you buy from.

Which to get.

So now the question is which one to get out of the best AR15 flashlights. Well, the answer depends on what you are going for. If you want a bright light that can produce a long beam or have versatility with its features, then you can’t go wrong with either Streamlight light. If you want a simple basic light though, then the Monstrum Tactical 90 is a great option. If you want something in the middle, then you should consider either the Orion H40-W or the SureFire X300. Any way you go through, you can’t go wrong with any of these lights.

Conclusion

Now you know some of the best AR15 lights on the market. You also have a good idea of what to look for in a flashlight for your rifle. You want to find one that is the right size for your gun and a good weight to be balanced. You also want to consider the lumens of the LED bulb and the beam it makes so you can know it will meet your expectations and serve the purposes you want. Also, you should consider the mounting system to make sure it will work with the gun you have and fit correctly to the rail. If you think about these three things, then you will be able to find the best AR15 flashlight for you and the gun you are attaching it too.

Top 5 Best .22LR Scopes For Rifle On The Market

This is my review about 4 scope for .22lr rifle on the market, it will help you find the best for hunting. Check it out:

1.Nikon P-RIMFIRE RIMFIREII BDC 150 Rifle Scope, Black

Nikon P-RIMFIRE BDC 150 Rifle Scope, Black

Nikon P-RIMFIRE BDC 150 Rifle Scope, Black

The first one on the list is from Nikon. Nikon makes some great scopes. One of their other areas is cameras and camera lenses and scopes are actually very similar. Since they are similar Nikon optics are top quality and this applies to the P-RIMFIRE II BDC 150. This scope is 15.5 inches x 4 inches x 3.5 inches and weights only 1.1 pounds. Being so light weight is nice because it doesn’t throw off the balance of your rifle.

The Nikon P-RIMFIRE II BDC 150 is well constructed and durable. It is composed of Nikon Eco-glass lenses which are made without lead or arsenic. This means that they will not put off toxic gases and you can touch them without fear, but you really shouldn’t touch them even though you can. The lenses are covered with multiple layers of anti-reflective coating which helps make it so you can see thru the scope without glare even in bright lighting conditions.

As for using the scope to get accurate aim it is precise and comes with .25 inch adjustments for 50 yards that is hand turn. This allows you to zero in perfectly on your target. This scope doesn’t stop at 50 yards though. It has open circle aiming points from 50 to 150 yards. This makes it easy to tell the distance of how far something is and get good aim without your view being obstructed by cross hairs. The cross hairs are easy to see though, but the lines are thin enough not to cause problems.

Users really love this scope and how accurate it is. It is precise and easy to use. The only complaints have been from people buying from bad sellers who listen things as new when it wasn’t. The complaints people have had, have not been about the scope and most users would buy it again because it is that great of a scope and Nikon makes top products including the Nikon P-RIMFIRE II BDC 150 rifle scope.

2. Simmons Truplex .22 Mag Riflescope

Simmons Truplex .22 Mag Riflescope

Simmons Truplex .22 Mag Riflescope

Next we have the Simmons Truplex .22 Mag. Simmons is another good scope brand and this scope is another top choice for your 22LR. This scope is light weight as well only wighting 1 pound and the size is pretty similar to the others. The Triplex .22 Mag measures 15.4 inches x 2 inches x 5.5 inches. This gives it nice balance and helps fit to your long rifle properly. This scope also comes in two colors. A silver model and a matt black model. Both are the same outside of the color.

As for specifications of this scope it is made with top quality glass. The glass is high quality and precise to ensure clear images and bright ones. The glass is coated with anti-reflective coating to help make sure you don’t get glare. It also has a HydroShield lens coating to allow you to use this scope in any weather condition. The scope is one single tube as well which helps protect against water from getting into the scope and damaging the optics.

The Simmons Truplex .22 Mag has 3.75 inches of eye relief and an exit pupil that is 10.7 millimeters. This allows for comfortable and longer periods of use. It also has SureGrip adjustments, so you can zero in on your target even with gloves on. The clicks go in quarter turns to get accurate and precise view of your target. The field of view with this scope is 31.4 feet at 100 yards. This scope can be used for other ranges though. The cross hairs in this scope are bright and easy to line up with the target allowing for Quick Target Acquisition.

Most users have really liked this scope as well and would recommend it. Both colors are popular and since the matt black and silver are exactly the same it really does just depend on your taste. The only complaints is some people have received scopes that were defective and would not zero in, but customer service took care of them and got those people a working scope, so you really can’t go wrong with the Simmons Truplex .22 Mag Riflescope if you are needing a simple scope.

3. UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope

UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope, AO, 36-color Mil-dot, Rings

UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope, AO, 36-color Mil-dot, Rings

Next up is the UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope. This scope is a bit more advanced than the previous mentioned scopes. It is a little heavier than them as well because of the added features. This scope weights 1.45 pounds but still measures only 10.4 inches x 1.6 inches x 2.1 inches. This makes it a little shorter than others, but helps the extra weight be in the middle for more balance.

This scope is assembled with good glass and the glass has top quality coating. It also has an angled front sunshade to help block light from getting in. One of the things that makes this scope stand out from the others is that it has built in illumination. You can adjust the illumination to help control how bright the inside of the scope is. You can customize it to your liking and the scope will remember the last setting it was on. Also, this scope has lens caps to protect the lenses when it isn’t in use.

The reticle on this scope is a full 36 color one and it has a mill dot. This is similar to swat team type scopes with the reticle that it has. This makes getting precise aim easy. Their is also quarter click adjustments to get precise aim. This scope is ready to use out of the box which is nice and comes with everything you need, including rings. The scope is a one piece solid tub that is one hundred precent nitrogen filled. This prevents fogging as well as makes this rain and shock proof like the other scopes.

Users love the  UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope and the value it offers. They like that you get multiple aiming points and the illumination that this scope has. They also like the build quality and the amount of magnification that this scope offers allowing you to use it at a longer distance. The only complaint with this scope is the glass isn’t super clear, but for most it is clear enough that it gets the job done and is still a good scope. The best thing about this scope is it has a lifetime warranty, so you know that means they stand behind their product and it is a good one.

4. Vortex Optics Crossfire II 2-7x32 Rimfire, Second Focal Plane Riflescope - V-Plex Reticle (MOA)

Vortex Optics Crossfire II 2-7x32 Rimfire, Second Focal Plane Riflescope - V-Plex Reticle (MOA)

Vortex Optics Crossfire II 2-7x32 Rimfire, Second Focal Plane Riflescope - V-Plex Reticle (MOA)

Coming up next on our list is a scope from Vortex Optics. It is the Crossfire II riflescope. This scope is 1.5 pounds making it similar to the others and measures 11.3 inches x 1.71 inches x 1 inch. The tube is a single piece and filled with solid pieces of glass that offer clear images. The magnification is only 2x-7x with a 32 feet field of view. This is a little less than some other scopes on this list.

Even though the magnification isn’t as good though. The Vortex offers elevation adjustments and also offers quarter click graduation adjustments. This helps you zero in on your target. The cross hairs inside of this scope are easy to see and make aiming easy without obstructing your view. The eye relief is 3.9 inches which is better than some of the competition. The turret is also a capped style. The glass has good coating to help block reflections and glare.

People really enjoy the build quality and how easy it is to zero this scope in. They also enjoy that the glass is crystal clear. The only complaint is that after 50 yards this scope starts to drop off. The accuracy is exceptional up to and including that, but past that it starts to lose accuracy. This is still a great scope though to consider, especially if you don’t need to shoot long distances. It also is my favorite scope for my ar 15 LWRC DI. It's very nice!

4. BARSKA 3-9x32 Plinker-22 Riflescope

BARSKA 3-9x32 Plinker-22 Riflescope

BARSKA 3-9x32 Plinker-22 Riflescope

Last is the BARSKA 3-9x32 Plinker-22 but don’t let it being last on our list deter you from looking into it because it is still a great scope. It is the lightest on the list by a good margin at 11.5 ounces. This thing doesn’t even weight a full pound and it measures 12.4 inches x 2.2 inches x 2.2 inches. Don’t let this small size deceive you though, it is still made with top quality parts. The tube is still sealed and is water, fog, and shock proof. The glass inside of it is good quality and coated with good coating to reduce glare. The eye relief is 3.5 inches and the exit pupil is 10.7 millimeters making it comfortable to see out of and use.

This scope comes with everything you need to start using it. It has mounting rings, lens caps, and even a cloth to clean the lenses. It also has a limited lifetime warranty, so you know it will work for a long time. The scope zeros well and holds zero good. The scope is bright and the cross hairs make it easy to see what you are aiming it. It offers a field of view of 36 feet at 100 yards and 3x magnification where the field of view drops to 13 feet at 9x magnification. Things can be adjusted with the knobs at quarter clicks to get precise aiming.

Users really like this BARSKA 3-9x32 Plinker-22 Riflescope and BARSKA is a good company. Users like that the scope is clear and that it stays zeroed well. The only complaints have been that mounting can be a hassle depending on your 22LR and some scopes have had quality control issues of the lenses coming loose, but customer service fixed this. This scope is a good all around simple scope like the others on this list.

Which one to get?

So, now that you have seen the specifications of the different scopes it is time to figure out which 22LR scope to get.

Well, the best 22LR scope really depends on your needs.

If you want greater than 100 yards, then the Nikon is your best bet because it offers a clear image and accurate sighing up to 150 yards.

If you want something that is bright though or has illumination built in or that has more magnification than the rest, then the UTG is the bet model for you.

If you just want a simple scope than that means you should get the BARSKA or Simmons. The thing is no matter which 22 Long Rifle scope you pick from this list, you will be getting a good scope.

Conclusion

All these scopes will offer you a useable scope that will give you accurate and precise aim that you will be able to use a long time.

You can’t go wrong with any of these 22LR scopes and that is why they are all the best. The key is that now you have a good starting point of scopes to look into that you can’t go wrong with so you can figure out the features you want in a scope and pick out the 22LR scope that best meets your needs. The scope that meets your want list is the best 22LR scope for you.

The Best AR-15 Scope to Help You Shoot Effortlessly

Top 5 Best AR-15 Scope Brands

This is my review of 5 best AR-15 scopes on the market, and it will help you find the top equipment for hunting. In this article, I only discuss rifle scopes, not red dot sight brands or iron sights. If you want to find the best red dot for an AR-15, you should check here. Now let's check out the best AR-15 scope brands:

1. Vortex Optics Diamondback Second Focal Plane Riflescopes

best ar-15 scope Vortex Optics Diamondback Second Focal Plane Riflescopes

Vortex Optics Diamondback Second Focal Plane Riflescopes

Vortex rockets itself onto the list of best scopes with this Diamondback model.

It's sleek and effective, and I bought one years ago and recently bought this model and love the optics.

The glass has a perfect view and takes little to no time to adjust. Plus, the reticle is spot on and looks realistic.

Here are the top features:

  • The visibility and range of this scope are second to none.
  • Numerous rounds don’t offset the visibility or accuracy, unless there's a lot of movement. I’ve held zero for over 300 rounds and have friends who did the same.
  • I find the crosshair very helpful.
  • Tuning the sight to your liking takes just a few seconds.

2. Nikon M-223 4-16x42M BDC 600

best AR-15 scope - Nikon M-223 4-16x42M BDC 600

If you are looking for a great scope for your AR-15 that won’t break the bank, you need to check out the Nikon M-223.

This scope is easy on the eyes, literally. Nikon’s Eye Box technology gives you 4-times zoom range with 4-inches of eye relief.

You need your target to be clear as day. This scope delivers with a 95-percent light transmission rate, giving you clarity whether you’re shooting at noon, dusk, or dawn.

You don’t have ever worry about your optics fogging up. The Nikon M-223 is nitrogen sealed, making it fog proof. It is also waterproof and shockproof.

For those that want even more accuracy, the side focus parallax adjustment is something you are going to want to use.

2. UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope, AO, 36-color Mil-dot, Rings

best ar-15 scope UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope, AO, 36-color Mil-dot, Rings

UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope, AO, 36-color Mil-dot, Rings

When looking for the best AR-15 scope, there is really only one viable option: the UTG 3-12X44 30mm. This scope—renowned for its accuracy and dependability in tough field situations— has risen as the cream of the crop for three main reasons:

  • The zeroing capability: Not only is this product simple and straight forward while zeroing, it holds the zero better than any scope on the market. Not to mention, it also is a great package value without the need to purchase a bunch of expensive add-ons. Even after removing the scope and reattaching it, your aim will remain perfect. It makes a good shooter feel like a great shooter!
  • It’s durability: Instead of buying a poor-quality scope and needing to replace it every year or two, this UTG will last a lifetime if it's properly cared for. The 3x zoom is perfect for zeroing on 50 yards and nailing the preferred portion of the target from 100 yards with no problem.
  • Performance: Take it out as far as 900 yards and back to zero without losing focus or confidence in what you are doing. The scope is easily mountable, adjustable, and simple to master— even for new shooters.

Overall, this UTG scope is of the elite products for an AR-15 that you’ll find. I’ve been using it for years without need to get maintenance done. Honestly, I never want to try another scope, period. This is the top of the line.

3. Bushnell Tactical Elite SMRS 1-8.5x 24mm Illuminated BTR-2 FFP Reticle Riflescope, Black Matte

Bushnell Tactical Elite SMRS 1-8.5x 24mm Illuminated BTR-2 FFP Reticle Riflescope, Black Matte - best AR-15 scope

The scope features a one-piece tube, 34-millimeter construction, with a black matte finish that reduces glare.

No matter where you are hunting, this scope has you covered with fully waterproof construction. It can even stay dry when immersed in up to three feet of water for half an hour.

5. CVLIFE Hunting Rifle Scope 6-24x50 AOE Red and Green Illuminated Gun Scope with Free Mount

best ar-15 scope CVLIFE Hunting Rifle Scope 6-24x50 AOE Red and Green Illuminated Gun Scope with Free Mount

CVLIFE Hunting Rifle Scope 6-24x50 AOE Red and Green Illuminated Gun Scope with Free Mount

This is the scope to choose for shooters who need vision enhancement on multiple AR-15's.

Deer hunters seem to like taking this scope to pinpoint moving animals. Keeping the target in range across long distances is a breeze, as well as  accounting for their body movements.

It's accuracy incredibly useful while trying to strike a specific target without making an errors.

However,  be careful on those high-recoil weapons. If this scope is loose or not properly affixed, it can jolt back and strike you. In some rare cases, it might cause injury.

Nonetheless, the problem is easily avoided by double checking to make sure everything is secured. Other than that, this is a solid option.

You'll get accustomed to how it feels on your gun because it’s easy to find your rhythm with AR-15's when you’re zeroed and the scope stays consistent.

Take a look at the list for the best AR-15 scope brands again:

  1. Vortex Optics Diamondback Second Focal Plane Riflescopes (Editor's Choice)
  2. Nikon P-223 3-9x40 Mate BDC 600
  3. UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope, AO, 36-color Mil-dot, Rings (Good in price range)
  4. Bushnell Optics FFP Illuminated BTR-1 BDC Reticle-223 Riflescope 1-4x/24mm
  5. CVLIFE Hunting Rifle Scope 2.5-10x40e Red & Green Illuminated Gun Scopes with 20mm & 11mm Mount

Head-to-head comparison

Two of the best AR-15 scope products stand out from this list. First, the Vortex Optics Strike Eagle 1-6 x 24 AR-BDC Reticle is the industry leader in its class, and it's a great option.

The Nikon Prostaff is the second best AR-15 scope. It's consistent and sustains better than the others on this list. The Nikon scope works well for novice and uninformed hunters, but doesn’t stack up against these two. The others products perform well, but they don't quite match up.

Hence, the Vortex Spitfire holds the title as the best AR-15 scope. It comes highly recommended and will impress even the most skeptical of hunters.

The Benefits Of Using An AR Scope

If you’re a first-time buyer and you’re on the fence about whether you should get a scope or not, this section is for you. Believe it or not, using a scope with your AR-15 makes a world of difference. Here are some of the advantages:

  • It offers a clear and precise shot from long distances.

  • Accurate shots help you save bullets.

  • Fast and reliable target acquisition.

  • Provides night vision so you can catch large buck in the evening.

  • Offers light transmission so you can get a clear view of the target.

Obviously, there are plenty of other benefits to using a scope, but surely this list was enough to convince you to get one. Without question, it’ll improve your shooting experience.

What You Should Do Before Buying Rifle Scopes

When you’re on the hunt for the best AR-15 scope, there are a few things you should take into consideration. The last thing you want to is to buy something that’s a disappointment and doesn’t perform well. Make sure you do some research before you make a purchase. Here’s what you should like out for:

Find The Right Scope

This bit of advice might seem ridiculous, but it’s an important one. When you’re shopping around, it’s easy to get caught up with cheap prices, bells and whistles, and pretty much anything that doesn’t benefit you. Make sure you only buy what you need—otherwise, it’s a waste.

Thoroughly Read Reviews

Never take a product rating for face value. Go through and read all the reviews, both good and bad. More importantly, pay attention to the negative reviews that point out flaws about the scope. Unfortunately, some customers end up with faulty merchandise. But pay close attention repetition—when multiple people complain about the same thing, listen!

Make Sure the Scope And Rifle Are Compatible.

This is a biggie. Although it might seem like a no-brainer, this is a common mistake folks make when purchasing a new rifle scope.

Check For A Warranty

A lot of brands offer warranties, which is great because anything can happen when you’re out shooting. If you can, try to get a scope with a lifetime warranty, so you can replace the product breaks or has a defect.

1. Vortex Optics Crossfire II 6 - 18x44mm AO Riflescope, DEAD-HOLD BDC

Vortex Optics Crossfire II 6 - 18x44mm AO Riflescope, DEAD-HOLD BD

Vortex Optics Crossfire II 6 - 18x44mm AO Riflescope, DEAD-HOLD BD

If you’re looking for a best Ruger 10/22 scope that holds zero like an absolute rock, this is the one for you.

Many Ruger fanatics spend years looking for that extra bit of accuracy and momentum in the field, and Vortex Optics answered by taking a 12 and making it doable from further than a football field away.

They are also protected under caps, allowing for longevity and durability that entry level scopes can’t offer.

Compared to other good scopes in its class, this one is the king. It easily stands its ground against top-notch offerings from elite manufacturers

This is what you’re getting with this product:

Up to 500 yards is no problem with strong accuracy. Any worries of missing turret clicks are eliminated by the recurring sound.
  • Strong handling of recoil and any vibrations
  • Seamless performance in inclement weather
  • One of the most consistent eye pieces on the market, even with rapid fire and movement with ruger 10/22 takedown

2. UTG 3-9X32 1" BugBuster Scope, AO, RGB Mil-dot, QD Rings

UTG 3-9X32 1

UTG 3-9X32 1" BugBuster Scope, AO, RGB Mil-dot, QD Rings

There has been much debate about what is the best scope for a Ruger 10/22. We’re here to put an end to this argument. Hands down, the best scope for a Ruger 10/22 is the UTG 3-9X32 1" BugBuster Scope, AO, RGB Mil-dot, QD Rings.

Let’s break it down for any unfamiliar with the product:

  • If you find yourself setting up visibility for a particular situation only to find adverse weather or a change in plans, this scope is adjustable on the fly. It allows for simple and quick adjustable objectives for any range you’re shooting
  • Those needing to improve their aim will find this scope tightens any missteps in their process. The reticle is specifically built to eliminate aiming issues, with the added bonus of helping your overall performance
  • It upholds through rain, fog, direct sunlight, or just about any other weather condition

Among the scopes for a Ruger 10/22, this one stands apart for long-lasting, dependable performance.

Take it from a pro: there’s no sense wasting time and resources on flimsy pieces of crap. Go with the UTG BugBuster, hands down the best scope for a Ruger 10/22

3. Nikon P-RIMFIRE BDC 150 Rifle Scope, Black

When looking to step up the scope game significantly, this best scope from Nikon for ruger 10/22 takedown is the perfect piece of equipment.

Open circle aiming points are very accurate from 50 to 150 yards (I’ve actually used it for shots that I estimated were up to 200, but not with the accuracy of under 150).

The crosshair is right in the line of vision and never blurry or faded, something that is frequently a problem with cheaper scopes.

  • The Nikon Eco-Glass lenses are arsenic-free. They also are incredibly vibrant when in front of the eye – I’ve never had any issues with reflection or fog
  • Zero reset is required on elevation and windage. After you’ve zeroed the scope, there shouldn’t be any adjustments necessary to keep it accurate unless the mounting is altered. Move a click up, and it can be easily reset
  • Nikon has perfectly engineered this scope for .22 ammunition, and there is no better weapon for .22 than the Ruger 10/22. It is the perfect combination

Make sure your on-hand mounts are made for the Ruger 10/22 – special order them if not.

Mounting and zero issues may result from mounts that are not for this specific rifle. Other than that, this is a solid scope and worth the spend.

My friend has bought a few of them for different .22s and always have been satisfied. If you’re looking to impress with a great gift, this is the best option available.

This is a good scope for ruger 10/22

4. Bushnell 613510B Rimfire Scope with Dropzone 22 Reticle Matte Black Finish

Bushnell 613510B Rimfire Optics Scope

In varied weather conditions, accuracy and ease of use remain largely unaltered.

Visibility is strong as well, although they reach the mid-level in this field at best.

This scope is ideal for rim fire and quick adjustments for moving targets, even in changing conditions.

No other brand beats them on that front.

If Bushnell really wanted to conquer the market, they’d address this issue – but they’ve got their niche down and a following that stands by their products. In its class, this scope is a solid addition.

It’s funny, as it seems that scopes with the strongest visibility struggle with windage and vice versa.
  • Field-of-view range at 100 yards
  • Bushnell’s incredible Quantum Optical System, which optimizes imagery sighting from one side of vision thru the other
  • This scope is built for windage and weather will work perfectly with ruger 10/22

This is a good choice for your ruger 10/22 takedown

5. TascoRimfire Series 3-9x 32mm 30/30 Reticle .22 Riflescope (Matte Finish)

TascoRimfire Series 3-9x 32mm better scope for the Ruger 10/22
TascoRimfire Series 3-9x 32mm 30/30 Reticle .22 Riflescope (Matte Finish)

The TascoRimfire Series is top of the line, all the way. You won’t find a better scope for the Ruger 10/22 in its price range

The HD vision is superb. It really hones in on far-away targets and holds the view long enough to pull the trigger and get a good shot. I’m a fan because of these features:

  • The ruger 10/22 optics are fully coated. I’ve never had any sight problems with this scope, even after using it in multiple lighting scenarios and times of day
  • The 50-yard parallax setting is standard and functional. Experienced shooters will find lines of sight to be as expected based on distance, terrain, and weather
  • The accuracy is spot on. Take it to the range once before heading out on a hunt and you’ll be completely comfortable with it

One thing I always suggest with this scope is to purchase a separate weaver rail to go along with it. You can get one that is of much higher quality, and will last longer, than the one that Tasco makes. Also, buy additional scope rings if you don’t have any on hand. They will be necessary for proper and secure mounting.

Another hint is to make sure everything is properly mounted and fastened, so that the reticle doesn’t move.

If you’re using this scope regularly, check the security of the mounting each time you head out.Be sure to test it at both close up and further away shooting distances to get comfortable before forming your final opinion on the scope. I found that it took a couple different scenarios before I fully grasped what it has to offer.

6. Simmons 511039 3 - 9 x 32mm .22 Mag(R) Matte Black Riflescope

Simmons 511039 3 - 9 x 32mm .22 Mag(R) Matte Black Riflescope
Simmons 511039 3 – 9 x 32mm .22 Mag(R) Matte Black Riflescope

The Simmons Riflescope is built with optical glass lenses that, in my experience, are incredibly functional.

For an economical .22 scope such as this one, that feature really stands out.

Their HydroShield lens coating that they brag about is optimized as well. Two of the three scopes we’re talking about today are far from the high-end market, proving that best Ruger 10/22 scopes don’t have to break the bank.

The eyepiece is bright and vibrant, allowing for easy target sighting and zero fatigue when following a target or working to find the best shot location on the target. The clarity cannot be beat.

Here are the best features:

  • The mounting rings that come with the Simmons Riflescope are not well-suited to the Ruger 10/22. As typical, I suggest buying additional rings and weaver rail. It can be mounted
  • The rubber surface is easy to adjust, even in rain, heat, or damp conditions. Once zeroed, the scope is as accurate as anything on the market
  • It mounts to other options, but seems to be specifically designed for the Ruger 10/22 due to its popularity

Above all other scopes, this one gives the most bang for the buck. In the hunting world, that goes a long way because it allows more flexibility for other add-ons and modifications.

Conclusion

There are a variety of best scopes for a Ruger 10/22 on the market . These three are all well-suited for action, whether that be the range or out in the hunting field. The trendiness of rimfire shooting has led to the development of a lot of new scopes, but I always stand by the old classics. For mounting help, check out this great video.:

What Are the Best Scopes for an AR-10 Rifle?

What are the best scopes for an AR-10 rifle? There are so many options these days, and certainly the discussions have flown back and forth as to who does it best.

Personally, my uncle got me into Nikon scopes as a kid and I’ve always preferred them, but over the last five years I’ve come across a few others that I think are worth mentioning.

Through demoing numerous scopes at ranges, talking extensively with hunters, and incorporating my personal situation and preferences, I’ve compiled here the four best scopes for an AR-10.

All of these are worth considering, and I think that through applying your personal preferences you’ll find one here that meets your needs.

This is my review about 4 scope for ar 10 on the market, it will help you find the best for hunting. Check it out:

1.UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope, AO, 36-color Mil-dot, Rings

UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope, AO, 36-color Mil-dot, Rings

UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope, AO, 36-color Mil-dot, Rings

When looking for the best scope for an AR-10, there is really only one viable option: the UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope. This scope, renowned for its accuracy and dependability in tough field situations, has risen as the cream of the crop for three main reasons:

  • The zeroing capability: Not only is this scope extremely simple and straight forward when zeroing, it holds the zero better than any scope on the market. Add to this that it also is a great package value without the necessity to purchase a bunch of expensive add-ons in order to optimize, and you’ve got yourself a winner here. Even after removing the scope and then reattaching it, your aim will remain perfect. It makes a good shooter feel like a great shooter!
  • It’s durability: Instead of obtaining a cheaply made scope and having to replace it every year or two (for avid users), this UTG scope will last a lifetime is properly cared for. The 3X zoom is good for zeroing on 50 yards and nailing the preferred part of the target from 100 yards no problem
  • Performance: Take it out as far as 900 yards and back to zero without losing focus or confidence in what you are doing. The scope is easily mountable, easily adjustable, and easy to master even for new shooters

Overall, this UTG scope is the best scope for an AR-10 that you’ll find anywhere on the market. I’ve been using it for years without ever having to have maintenance done or want to switch it up. Honestly, I never even want to try another scope, period. This is the top of the line

2. Vortex Optics Diamondback 4-12x40 Dead-Hold BDC Reticle - 1 Inch Tube (DBK-04-BDC)

Vortex Optics Diamondback 4-12x40 Dead-Hold BDC Reticle - 1 Inch Tube (DBK-04-BDC)
Vortex Optics Diamondback 4-12×40 Dead-Hold BDC Reticle – 1 Inch Tube (DBK-04-BDC)

Vortex rockets itself onto the list of best scopes for an AR-10 with this Diamondback model.

These things are sleek and effective- I first bought one years ago and have since bought this model and love the optics (I am entering my fifties now).

The glass is perfectly viewable and takes little to no time to adjust to. The reticle is spot on and extremely life-like.

Here are the best features:

  • The visibility and range of this scope are second to none
  • Numerous rounds don’t offset the visibility or accuracy, unless you’re clunking the thing around a bunch. I’ve held zero for over 300 rounds and have friends who have done the same.
  • I find the crosshair extremely helpful
  • Tuning the sight to your liking takes just a few seconds

And what I don’t like:

  • I'm so used to using Nikon and Leupold that it did take a moment to familiarize myself with set-up. That is the main disadvantage of Vortex, is that they aren’t as widely used and thus there aren’t as many of them out at the range if I feel like asking for advice.

3. Nikon M-308 4-16x42mm Riflescope w/ BDC 800 Reticle,Black

Nikon M-308 4-16x42mm Riflescope w/ BDC 800 Reticle,Black

Nikon M-308 4-16x42mm Riflescope w/ BDC 800 Reticle,Black

The Nikon M-308 is one of the best scopes for an AR 10 because of the quick-focus eyepiece.

Nikon definitely responded to feedback on eyepieces and went the extra mile with this one. The piece is rather versatile, functioning without dependence on barrel length and works on any .308 platform.

I really loved the image quality, especially considering the price point and size of this scope. It’s lightweight, easy to mount, and retains accuracy through several rounds of shooting.

  • Clear optics and strong BDC reticle
  • Great appearance in the water, enough to fool the uncanny hunter who hasn’t seen them before.
  • Bore sighted and great sight picture, up to 1000 yards. Have we mentioned how great the visibility is?
  • It’s very durable and will last many years. Nikon is putting out excellent scopes that are affordable and useful for hunters of all abilities

The down side:

  • Be sure to inquire as to whether your order includes the M308 mount. Some sellers include this in the purchase, others force you to buy it separately. It’s a much better deal when the mount is included.

4. Primary Arms 4-14 X 44 FFP Scope ACSS HUD .308 BDC Reticle PA4-14XFFP308

Primary Arms 4-14 X 44 FFP Scope ACSS HUD .308 BDC Reticle PA4-14XFFP308

Primary Arms 4-14 X 44 FFP Scope ACSS HUD .308 BDC Reticle PA4-14XFFP308

You are out the shooting and the reticle on your scope is fogged or otherwise detracting from optimal vision. Thinking you’ve got the target in range and zeroed, you fire anyway. But the shot misses, too high. Over and again, this keeps happening. Enter the Primary Arms 4-14 X 44 FFP Scope. After a quick installation, you’re back out there. Primary Arms solves the problems of tough zeroes and clouded view in the field.

Better accuracy through simple physics

The ACSS reticle is top notch, greatly benefitting the functionality of the scope. When shooting from 500-600 yards, closing the gap on those high shots and missing left or right is a breeze. You’d be hard-pressed to find another rifle scope that so easily eliminates that problem.

When shooting with an AR-10, or even those with Ruger or Remington models, this Primary Arms scope easily works with the measurements of the gun to hold zero and improve shot accuracy, even on moving targets.

Personal preference with the Primary Arms scope

Some shooters prefer minimum zoom with this scope, hoping only for slight adjustments to their original line of sight. But by sliding the zoom up a bit, it is incredibly easy to see a dramatic increase in target acquisition from 500+ yards.

These days, with shooters adding more gadgets to their setup, this scope cuts back on what owners need to carry into the field. If you find the weight of your gear is getting out of hand with stuff meant to improve accuracy, cut it all back and get this scope.

Putting the Primary Arms Rifle Scope to the test

Depending on what setup you’re using currently, this scope will help in these ways:

  • Improve accuracy at the range and in the field
  • Minimize need for add-ons
  • Fit a variety of guns, specifically great for an AR-10

When needing a quick fix that won’t break the bank, this is the scope for you. It is among the best scopes for an AR-10.

Conclusion

These days, there are so many scopes on the market that choosing the best one can be challenge. I highly recommend going with the Nikon M-308 4-16x42mm Riflescope w/ BDC 800 Reticle,Black. There simply aren’t any drawbacks to this scope, from the time you open the box up through the 500th round you’ll fire.

It is the highest quality scope on the list here and by far the most effective anywhere near its price range.

1. Sentry Safe Biometric Quick Access Pistol Safe Model # QAP1BE

Sentry Safe Biometric Quick Access Pistol Safe Model # QAP1BE
Sentry Safe Biometric Quick Access Pistol Safe Model # QAP1BE

Top Rated Gun Safe For Biometric Simplicity

Simplicity is the name of the game with this handgun safe. It has a  straightforward rectangular design that showcases the user interface on the top of the safe, right next to the biometric scanner.

You can remove your gun with only one hand in case of an emergency, and this safe is compact and easy to store and mount just anywhere.

It opens quickly and the biometric feature is incredibly accurate.

In the unlikely event that it doesn't work properly, this top-rated biometric gun safe comes with a programmable keypad that opens the safe. Also, the interface on the top of the unit light up so that the buttons are easy to see.

A compression gas strut manages the opening and closing of the safe. It takes a couple of seconds after scanning your finger to gain gun access. If the safe makes noises while the safe, add a few drops of oil or WD-40 to solve the problem.

Other than that, it should NOT make any noises while in operation.

This safe holds one pistol and other accessories as well. It doesn't open very wide, so keep that in mind if you plan to store more than the pistol in there. Try to keep the items when you can grab them with one hand and be ready to go.

Additionally, this safe is ideal for home and office protection and is compact enough to store in a dresser, nightstand, or desk without drawing any attention.

It is not designed to mount on a wall, as there are no points on the safe for screws or other attachments.

To open it, touch a button or the scanner to activate it, and then a quick swipe of your programmed finger does the trick. I think this Sentry Safe is the best gun reviews on the list.

2. Stack-On PDS-1500 Drawer Safe with Electronic Lock

Stack-On PDS-1500 Drawer Safe with Electronic Lock
Stack-On PDS-1500 Drawer Safe with Electronic Lock

Top rated gun safe for electronic simplicity

This product has as an electronic lock and keypad that are very effective.

It's large enough to store items in addition to your pistol like money, keys, ammo, passport or anything else that needs to be locked up.

For mounting and storage, it also has pre-drilled holes in the bottom of it.

Besides that, it doesn't mount well and sits better on a flat surface. Furthermore, it's heavy and doesn't move easily— children or thieves won't be able to grab it and go.

If you need to reprogram the passcode or set it up for another person to use, press the marked button on the inside of the safe.

On the downside, it comes with batteries that only run for a short while—you'll have to use a replacement shortly after purchase.

Also, people have stated that this safe can be broken into by using a paperclip. That seems a bit overblown, but a replacement lock will fix that problem if it happens.

Other than that, there aren't many bad things to say about this top- rated gun safe. It's simple to learn, easy to reset, and the solid construction makes it durable and very difficult to tamper with.

3. Gunvault SpeedVault SVB500 gun safe

Gunvault SpeedVault SVB500 gun safe
Gunvault SpeedVault SVB500 gun safe

The Most Mountable Gun Safe

The SpeedVault SVB500 is the top-rated biometric gun safe for anyone looking for  one that's easy to mount. It securely attaches to walls, desk drawers, or almost any other flat  surface. When opened, the holster drops down and allows for easy one-handed access to your gun in a flash.

The safe is small and only fits one pistol and holster, but is designed to be discreet and provide secure protection.

This along with the fact that it's battery powered makes for quick transport and numerous storage options.

It blends in due to its unique design, and it doesn’t look like a gun safe at first glance. The biometric sensor is on a slanted surface below the top and front face, which allows for proper placement of the gunman's finger. The SpeedVault SVB 500 is also versatile enough to place on different locations

However, it's not the quietest safe on the market. The levers may squeak a bit while opening it— which can be a problem if you want to be quiet during an intrusion.

Furthermore, you have to change or charge the batteries regularly. If not, you'll have a difficult time opening the safe.

It's been reported that it's opened for the wrong person in when the batteries are low on power—but that's a rare occurrence.

Nonetheless, it has a higher False Acceptance Rate than other  biometric gun safes, and it's good handgun safe for anyone who needs one.

Another non-biometric option is the Gunvault SV500

4. BARSKA Biometric Safe

Barska Biometric Safe

For those looking for a slightly larger pistol safe, BARSKA’s Biometric Safe is a good way to go. At 16.5” inches x 7.5” it can store additional clips and accessories that won't fit into some smaller safes.

This product might seem familiar because it resembles the safes in hotel rooms.

Its biometric scanner can store up to thirty different fingerprints at a time— so if multiple members of your family use the safe, they  can have access to it.

This product can't fit long guns, but it's perfect for gun owners that have more than one handgun or wish to store a large amount of ammo.

BARSKA has done a great job of manufacturing safes that maximize storage space, while still remaining portable and easy to hide.

The simplicity of this safe makes it a strong option— even for non-gun owners who want to use it for storage.

One complaint I have heard about the BARSKA safe is that it sometimes takes a few scans for the biometric feature to recognize a finger. Although it's uncommon, if it does happen you should register your finger a few times. That way, it will increase the chances of your finger being recognized immediately.

Besides that, this safe is simple and effective.

SnapSafe Keyed Alike Lockbox (2 PACK)

gun safe reviews two gun safes

The most transportable and versatile safe

This product is great for couples or those who want to store their guns separately.

It comes with two manual pistol safes that are exactly alike so the same key opens each one. You'll never have to worry about sharing a key ever again.

These safes consist of 16 gauge steel and measures 11.5 x 8.5 inches each, which provides added security.

Both come in foam-lines boxes with four matching keys and two security cables. You can store you weapon and additional accessories with no problem, plus it's great for air travel.

Head to Head Comparison

While all of these gun safe reviews are about top-rated products, the right one for you depends on your situation. For the biometric option, the Sentry Safe Biometric Quick Access Pistol Safe is the best way to go because of its simplicity and lack of False Acceptance Rate. It is easy to store and hide, although it isn't as mountable as the SVB500.  However, the Gunvault’s NanoVault is the best choice for anyone who travels a lot and wants the security of bringing their pistol with them. For car storage, you won’t find anything better.

Out of all the gun reviews discussed here, the BARSKA Biometric Safe is the most generic but is highly effective—many people can use it as a regular safe as well.

Gun Safe Reviews: How To Find The Best Gun Safe For Your Budget

There are multiple options available for those looking to purchase a gun safe. Consider the following scenarios before deciding which safe is the right one for you:

  • Will you be transporting the gun? If so, you need a smaller box that meets requirements of the TSA and individual state’s lock and carry requirements.
  • Do you plan to mount the safe, or store it somewhere? Some of them come with pre-drilled holes for easy mounting, while others fit securely under a car seat or on a shelf.
  • Will you be storing additional items such as ammo or money in your safe? If so, you need to make sure it has enough room for everything.

What Kind Of Gun Safe Do You Need?

There are three options of the good gun safe for you, take a look with them:

  • Biometric gun safe
  • Keypad gun safe
  • Lock and key safe

Biometric safes are the best top rated gun safes on the market currently, and for good reason.

They provide the added security of knowing that only you and those whose fingerprints you have programmed into the safe will have access and nobody else.

They are simple to configure and the finger-based access will deny outsiders from being able to access your gun.

These days, many of the top rated biometric gun safes can program twenty, thirty, or more fingerprints so that your entire family can have access in case of an emergency.

Additional Gun Safety Tips

Storing your gun in behind a combination lock or in electronic locks is great, but there are some other security procedures to follow to ensure your family is safe.

  1. Weapons should be unloaded when they’re not in use. Also, when you pick up a firearm, make sure you to point it away from yourself and others, and be sure it’s not loaded.
  2. Store your guns in a locked cabinet, security safe, or gun vault. Keep it in a discreet location out of reach to children.
  3. Keep your finger off the trigger, unless you intend to pull it. Rest your finger on the outside of the trigger guard or the side of the gun.
  4. Face your weapon in a safe position—which is any direction that won’t cause injury if the gun accidentally discharged.
  5. Use a gun locking tool that makes the weapon inoperable when it’s not in use. A firearm lock is best used for added protection, not as a substitute for security storage.
  6. Make sure everyone in your home reads gun safe reviews and understand the seriousness of firearm safety.Storing your gun in behind a combination lock or in electronic locks is great, but there are some other security procedures to follow to ensure your family is safe.

This is my review about 4 shooting sticks in the market, it will help you find the best for hunting. Check it out:

1. Primos Gen 2 Jim Shockey Edition Deluxe Tri Pod Trigger Stick

Primos 65807 Gen 2 Jim Shockey Edition Deluxe Tri Pod Trigger Stick, 24-62-Inch

Primos 65807 Gen 2 Jim Shockey Edition Deluxe Tri Pod Trigger Stick, 24-62-Inch

The top rated shooting stick for maneuverability and overall use

The Primos Gen 2 Jim Shockey is everything you will need in a tripod.

The leg and handle adjust smoothly and easily, and once the tripod is set in position, it rests securely and quietly.

The best part of this tripod and the reason it is a top rated tripod is the nearly silent telescoping leg operation, which operates at the pull of a finger.

The legs are lightweight and sturdy- they will not break, tilt, or collapse under pressure from the gun. Because of the sensitive trigger, users should use caution when resting their fingers near the trigger area.

The device is tall enough for users to stand while using, even if it is in a kneel.

Despite the weight, strapping the Jim Shockey onto your pack is not an annoyance any more than strapping a bipod.

It folds to about 41 inches and weighs three pounds, on the heavy side but this weight allows for extra sturdiness in wind or rain.

It also adjusts nearly on the fly, ideal for shooting with a partner or in the backcountry on variable land conditions.

It greatly improves accuracy on shots over 100 yards.

Because of the remove-able V yoke and adjustable legs, aiming up is no problem and when the legs are flat, shooting comfortably from a sitting position is easy to do.

The newer version of the Primos Trigger Stick Gen 3 acclimates more easily to shooters’ specific preferences. Some of us like to stand at more of a slouch than others, securing the footing even more, while others prefer the upright stance. Whereas the old one was more designed to make the shooter adjust to it, this one is the other way around. Another big plus is the three-legged stand – it’d take quite a wallop of wind to knock this thing over. You’ll find it easier to set the gun and hone in on your target, and a more accurate way to track your shot. Overall, when compared to the older version of the Primos Trigger Stick, the new version is a dramatic improvement. Check Price of the new version here.

2.Vanguard Scout B62 Bi Pod with V-Shaped Yoke

Vanguard Scout B62 Bi Pod with V-Shaped Yoke

The most top rated shooting stick bipod with cushion handle and 360 access

Employing many of the standard features of bipods and tripods, the Vanguard Stout B62 is a top rated gun stand for field use. The V-shaped yoke swivels 360 degrees.

The leg tips are strong and hold place very well in rock and softer surfaces such as grass or dirt.

This product is very lightweight- only 1.10 pounds, and it compacts down to 22 ¼” making it easy to stow. The legs release quickly into four sections. They are clip on legs, not screw on. Secure hand grips are absolutely necessary with a bipod, and the Vanguard offers cushioned, comfortable grips that will not irritate the hands. Users should hold it still, maximizing silence, and the ability to shoot game from longer ranges will greatly increase.

The biggest benefit of this product is that everything about it is practical for actual field use- Vanguard leaves the flashy add-ons off and focuses on maximizing the efficiency and usability of each part of this bipod.

It sets up quickly and is incredibly stable.

If you are looking for a bipod instead of a tripod, this one is perfect- it can hold rifles in excess of eight pounds without stressing the frame. Ideal for big game hunting scenarios but can be used at the range to perfect technique before taking into the field.

3. Hammers Telescopic Shooting Tripod w/ Pivot V Yoke Max

Hammers Telescopic Shooting Tripod w/ Pivot V Yoke Max

A top rated shooting stick for its light weight and easy packing

This unit is just a bit taller than the Jim Shockey when fully extended, and has a more flexible V yoke.

Made from aluminum alloy tubing, the tripod weighs only 38 oz. The folded length is 32 inches, making it one of the most compact tripods of its size. The big seller here is the flexible V, which pivots freely and allows for improved accuracy when shooting from an off-hand position. It rotates a full 360 degrees.

For placement on rock surfaces, the tips of the legs are outfitted with carbide tips, and the tripod comes with a Velcro strap tie down. For transport, users can utilize the nylon carrying pouch that comes with the unit or hook on/stuff into a pack if they have one large enough. The carrying pouch does have a shoulder strap.

The legs extend and secure easily and securely, and because of the 68” max height, even very tall hunters will have no problem using this tripod. When extending the legs, the suction effect that holds them in place increases in strength the higher the unit is set at, making it very secure and stable even at max height. There are no foam pads on the legs or unit in general, but users will find that they aren’t necessary because this top rated shooting stick tripod is stable as is.

4. Caldwell Dead Shot Field Pod

Caldwell Dead Shot Field Pod

Top rated shooting stick for the best accuracy and consistency when shooting

Caldwell has taken the pod approach and redesigned it for maximum stability with the Dead Shot.

This field shooting stick is a top rated shooting stick because there is no better way to improve accuracy on long range shots. It is heavy- weighing 6.6 pounds. The maximum height is 42”. The windage is perfect on this pod. Multiple adjustment points allow for total control of your shot. If you prefer to hunt from the ground, this product will improve your accuracy and consistency when placing shots.

The best thing about this product is that it pivots up and down as well as rotates left and right silently, allowing users to track their target and shoot at the point they feel most comfortable. While not practical for quick moving, the Caldwell Dead Shot is perfect for hunters who spend a long time in the stand.

It is versatile with many different types of guns and takes weather out of the equation when hunting. Rain, mud, general muck, and dirt, will not affect your shot or dirty the rifle. This best shooting sticks can also work with a crossbow without much adjustment other than fitting the hold. A solid product if you don’t mind the size and weight.

Head to Head Comparison

The Primos Gen 2 Jim Shockey is the strongest tripod shooting stick on the market, beating out the others here in usability and the ability to easily set up and pack. Despite being sensitive, the trigger stick also sets this product apart. The Hammers Telescopic Shooting Tripod offers a lighter weight but falls short on stability when compared to the Jim Shockey. If total stability is your desire, the Caldwell Dead Shot is the best around, just make sure you are prepared to haul it back and forth and don’t plan on being super mobile during your hunt. The Vanguard Scout B62 is the best bipod shooting stick on the market and if you will be moving around, changing angles, or don’t have a large amount of carrying space, a bipod is a strong option for you. Overall, the most versatile and top rated shooting stick here is the Primos Gen 2 Jim Shockey. You will not be disappointed with your purchase.

In last, hope you will find the best shooting sticks for hunting. Good luck!!

Best Shooting Sticks For The Hunting Buying Guide 2017

1

Build Of Shooting Sticks

Shooting sticks that are tripods and bipods are typically made out of carbon fiber or aluminum, much like a baseball bat.

The lightest ones will be made out of carbon fiber. Aluminum options tend to be a bit more stable and potentially longer lasting. Ideally, a tripod or bipod will be compact and strong- compacting down to below 20 inches for transport.

For most stands, you will be looking at a weight of between two and three pounds on the light end and up closer to eight or ten pounds on the heavier end.

2

Maneuverability

Obviously, lighter shooting sticks are easier to move around. The same goes for stands that compact to a smaller size. But be sure to consider how much moving you the hunter will be doing in the field. If you are going to be in one spot for an extended period of time and will be shooting from a far distance, a heavier stand may actually be better for you than a lighter one. Lighter stands provide optimum efficiency for quick set up and break down but are more susceptible to factors such as the wind, water, and mud.

3

Legs And Tips

The legs are the most important part of a shooting stick. Will they hold stable when a heavy gun is resting on top? Or when it fires? How about if water is involved, such as mud or rain? Stands with a suction element on the legs tend to help with this without adding weight. Look for legs that can easily be adjusted to different heights and that compact to as small as possible when not in use.

4

Yoke/carriage

These days, most V shaped yokes can rotate 360 degrees and allow for easy aiming up or down. On larger shooting sticks such as the Caldwell Dead Shot, you will not have that flexibility, but then again that’s not why you buy that stand. It is for maximizing accuracy and still allows up and down aiming as well as a good amount of rotation. Consider your situation in relation to how comfortable you feel with your marksmanship- if you are less comfortable, get a larger stand.
